Archery has its roots in ancient times and continues today as a competitive sport able to be enjoyed by men and women of all ages and varying abilities. Box Hill City Archers is a club dedicated to target archery and functions the whole year round and has been in existence since 1948. It is part of Archery Victoria and Archery Australia and operates under their guidelines.

We hold beginner’s classes approximately five times per year and they are held October to March on Saturday afternoons and April to September on Sunday afternoons. Each course consists of three sessions running between 1.00pm and 4.00pm. Class sizes are limited so that our coaches can provide close attention to all participants. These courses are available to persons of ten years of age or older. We require an adult to be in attendance during the course for children between ten and twelve years of age. Discounts are available for two or more members of the same immediate family. All equipment necessary is supplied by the club.

After completion of the beginner’s course each person can return for a further four sessions after which to continue with the club membership is required. Ongoing support and guidance is provided by experienced members of the club.
